A little bit about me

I started writing when I was in high school and just never stopped. Working as a stringer writer for several newspapers, I picked up several journalism techniques and became a part of the student-run newspaper at Bloomsburg University. I was the Features Editor for two years, and a writer for three.

I worked at a part-time job for a few months before deciding to further my education. Clarion University offered a graduate program in Mass Media Arts and Journalism, and I graduated with a 4.0 GPA. I also received a Certification of Public Relations while there.

Although I had a bit of a rocky start in finding the industry I preferred, marketing has always been fascinating to me. The design work of different companies and techniques used to bring in new customers was something I wanted to do. Applying to the YWCA Northcentral PA's open position of Communications and Marketing Coordinator, I knew marketing was where I was meant to be. I also found that working in a nonprofit is much more meaningful to me and I love being a part of the impact one can have on the community.

Aside from my professional life, baking is one of my favorite pastimes. You can try any of my treats on Etsy.com here. Cookies, brownies, scones, muffins, and quick breads are listed and I'm always adding more as I experiment with recipes in the kitchen.

The Corgi in the photo on the bottom left is Luna. I got her in 2021 as a puppy just after Thanksgiving. And the Bearded Dragon on the right is Loki, the Bearded Dragon of Mischief because he gets into everything. I love my pets immensely.
